Install the app

You can add MySymptom to your home screen or dock in a few taps. It opens in its own window like any other app, with no app store and no download to manage, and it updates itself.

How do I add MySymptom to my home screen?

Pick your device below. The steps for the device you are using now come first.

  • iPhone and iPad

    1. Open www.mysymptom.ai in Safari.
    2. Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
    3. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
    4. Tap Add. MySymptom appears on your home screen.

On iPhone and iPad, only Safari can add a web app to the home screen.

  • Android

    1. Open www.mysymptom.ai in Chrome.
    2. Tap the menu, the three dots at the top right.
    3. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
    4. Tap Install to confirm.
  • Mac with Safari

    1. Open www.mysymptom.ai in Safari.
    2. In the menu bar, choose File, then Add to Dock.
    3. Click Add. MySymptom opens in its own window from the Dock.

Needs macOS Sonoma or later. In Chrome or Edge on a Mac, follow the desktop steps.

  • Windows, Linux or ChromeOS

    1. Open www.mysymptom.ai in Chrome or Edge.
    2. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
    3. No icon? In Chrome open the menu, then Cast, save and share, then Install page as app. In Edge open the menu, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.

Does installing change anything?

Only how it opens. Everything else stays the same.

  • Your data is stored the same way as in the browser: on this device when signed out, in your account when signed in.
  • On iPhone and iPad, the home screen app keeps its own storage, separate from Safari. Sign in to see the same data in both.
  • Updates arrive by themselves the next time you open it.
  • To remove it, delete the icon like any other app. That doesn't delete your account.
